Trying Not to Think About It

"It" is coming soon....turn-in.....3 weeks from yesterday our precious girl will be matriculating at Oceanside and we'll have to watch her walk away from us...hopefully on her way to graduation but the waiting we have to do thru her advanced training only brings more stress - waiting to see how she does. We really are trying not to think about it but it's hard not to count down the days. Especially when the packet of paperwork comes from CCI and she has to have her final exam with the vet and we try to figure out if her stay with us will coincide with the last dish of food in stock and when to leave for the drive.....all the details. Remind me again why we do this?????  

Not only will we be saying good-bye to Michele but also to darling Nadie, her best friend and co-hort. They arrived on the same plane together in Denver and have been together for 18 months +/- here in Las Vegas. Full of energy and growing up into gorgeous, sweet, smart girls......praying they both graduate!!  

Next Friday, Jan 31st, will be their last puppy class in Albuquerque so not only will we be saying goodbye to them, but so will everyone else that comes to class. Two more pups will also be turned in on the 14th (I think) Cindy and Fuschia.....4 little girls heading off to what we hope will be graduation. Oh dear, I need Kleenex. 

It'll be so quiet around here......well, dang, this is not a surprise...we knew what we were getting into...it's just that when you get them at 8 weeks of age, you don't really grasp what you'll go thru when the puppy raising is over. 

Ok, we still have 3 weeks to enjoy them. And that's what I'm going to focus on. yeah, right!! My office-mate for the last 18 months. She's going to be missed by more people than she knows.
