Two Girls - Two Roads

Well, our beautiful girls have both left Advanced Training in Oceanside. Nadie has graduated as a Succesor Service dog and Michele is living the good life in Albuquerque as a beloved family pet. We were happy for Nadie (and Judy) and sad for Michele. But she has a wonderful family to live with in ABQ who has a little boy and little girl for Michele to raise and I am sure that's where she belongs. I still miss her and always will but we made the hard decision not to take her back when she was released as we decided she would be better off with a young family instead of us old folks!  So even though it was so tough to not have her graduate, it's what was meant to be. Don't I sound brave!!

We didn't think we could go thru this again so put off the decision to get another puppy, but as someone said, CCI needs puppy raisers and so.....another one is on the way to us on September 17th. Gene and I will be picking up Cheyenne IV in ABQ on the 17th and bringing her back to Las Vegas to live with us for 18 months or so. We'll both go to training classes in ABQ every month and share in her upbringing more than we did with Reily and Michele.

Cheyenne's blog will start soon....thought about just keeping this one and adding her name but we'll see.

In the meantime, we did our best with Michele and now she has a fauloubs family to care for her and love her.  And Nadie is happily taking care of her forever person.
