First Report and It's Pretty Darn Good, I Think

Oh boy.....it's so hard to give them up and I think, maybe, even harder to wait for the first report. But it finally arrived today and it's pretty good, in my opinion. She's reportedly adjusted well to kennel and training environments, which is very helpful. She has  a few confidence insues but they are working on them. Still on the "Breeder" list but that can change next month. All the health checks and basic temperament checks are done. Now on to the hard stuff.....getting used to walking on grates, ignoring bunnies, no barking or whining. I try to read between the lines of the report and see the problems but that's just me. Am attempting to keep an open mind and see good stuff!!  Just have to remember it's out of my hands.....we did our job and now it's up to her. Sure do miss my girl!!

We did send in our "Repeat Puppy Raiser" paperwork to CCI and are asking for a female Golden. That will most likely take quite a while to get so we'll see what happens. Won't get another pup until after a long summer vacation in the north woods and Michele's graduation (fingers crossed) in August. She will come home to us if she decides this isn't her chosen career.

In May we'll be puppy-sitting for Ira, from Albuquerque, while his Mom goes to Europe. She gets to go to Ireland, we get the dog. I think we get the best choice!! 

Check back on May  9th, or so, for more news. Unless, of course, Stu calls with lousy news earlier. Keeping out fingers crossed and saying our prayers that Michele will be a star our there in California.
