Back Home Again

NM Puppies and Grad Dogs

NM Graduate Dogs
We are back home again after the Albuquerque Adventures. Had a good time....Michele was very good at puppy class...Andrew did a great job of giving her some training while she was with him and his crew. It was so good to see her again. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott and they welcomed her with open arms and lots of petting and she loved it all. She was well behaved the whole time....other than trying to get her to "hurry" outside, she was fine. I think I took her out at least 3 times before bed so she could potty but no spot seemed to be the one! Finally at 10:00 or so, she decided to piddle....but nothing else. She slept in her new travel kennel all night after sleeping on the rug from about 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. That was one tired girl. We went to the hotel restaurant for dinner (well, i ate there - she ate in the room) and she did a perfect "under" and slept thru the whole meal. Steak didn't even rouse her. But then she's not a beggar anyway.  We were both tired and slept until about 6 a.m.....then she wanted to go out. But it was a worthwhile trip as she piddled a lot....but still no #2!!

After packing up and leaving around 9:30 we headed to Flying Star for a gift certificate for Andrew and tea for me. She was a perfect lady there also. I ended up talking with a couple who was in a booth by the line we were in and they fell in love with her....she is a sweetie. Then it was off to Tamaya and Twin Warriors Golf course for the photo shoot and golf tourney meeting. What a glorious day to be out on the course....a few white clouds and a light breeze and sunshine. A few pics attached to this post. We had almost all the puppies there plus all the grads, except for one, in our group. It still amazes me to see the graduate dogs work...they are impressive. Makes what we go thru giving up our puppies for advanced training all worth it!

Home around 3:30 or so and Miss M was so glad to see Levi and Gene...especially Gene, whom she adores! Again, very tired....she slept all the way home. Oh, yeah, she finally did her #2...right in front of the clubhouse at the golf course! Oh well, that's why we carry poop bags.

So we're back home...trying to continue her training...me thinks she will go into heat in the near future....then she'll be gone to the convent for 3 weeks. I might get some work done around her when she's gone but it sure will be quiet.

If anyone wants to buy tickets for the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop at the golf tourney you can buy on line at Enchanted Canines
it's our biggest NM fund raiser of the year....the winner of the Golf Ball Drop wins a Norwegian Cruise Lines Cruise, including airfare from a Southwest Airlines airport, for 2.....7 nights...not on Carnival!! Buy 5 balls for $50 and get a sixth one free!
